Heather is a native-born Austinite, but has spent 14 years teaching and working abroad in the field of international education. She has a B.A. in English from San Diego State University, where she also received her teaching certification. Heather’s love for international education has given her a wealth of experience directing and teaching in Brazil, Ecuador, France, and Peru, as well as in San Diego, California and right here in Austin, Texas. While she still greatly enjoys being in the classroom, she also likes to utilize her valuable experience in language program and curriculum development. Heather speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and a little bit of French, but hopes to continue building her language skills. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, traveling, writing, and spending time with her husband and her family.

Lynn  has been working for Aston International Academy since 1996.  Lynn is a former co-director of the school, and current teacher of IEP and TOEFL-iBT preparation.  Lynn holds a BA in Linguistics, and a BA in French, and an MA in Linguistics from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also holds an MA in TESL from the University of Texas at Austin.  Lynn loves teaching English!  Her hobbies include playing violin, reading, practicing French and gardening.

Patrick was born and raised here in Austin, Texas. He lived in Richmond, Virginia where he attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a degree in English and later received his ESL certification. He has taught ESL in Richmond, Virginia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before moving back to the Austin area in 2009. He has been an instructor for Aston International Academy for almost 4 years. He has traveled through Spain, France and Mexico. Patrick loves teaching and interacting with students from different backgrounds and cultures. Patrick is an avid sports fan and loves cooking, music, travel and collecting books.

Michelle was born and raised in north Texas. After studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she earned her B.A. in Spanish from the University of North Texas in 2008. She then set off to teach English as a foreign language in Daejeon, South Korea for two years. She returned to north Texas and got her M.A. in TESOL from the University of Texas at Arlington. In her free time, she loves baking, reading, and dancing. She loves animals and is dedicated to a vegan lifestyle. She especially enjoys all of the parks and swimming holes Austin has to offer.

Roger was born in Texas and raised in Arlington, where he was very active in theatre. He received his B.A. in Italian from The University of Texas and began teaching English in 2001. Roger loves teaching and learning languages, as well as traveling so he can practice speaking and explore new cultures. His hobbies are SCUBA diving, archery and beer brewing. He loves going to the movies with his wonderful wife and going hiking with his horrifying hound dog.

Nathan has an M.A. in Cognitive Linguistics from the University of Sussex,UK and many years of experience teaching English to adults and college students from around the world. His specialty is cross-cultural communication and preparing second language learners for real-world interaction. Having spent over a decade living abroad, he also enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. He also speaks Mandarin.

Julia was raised in Lubbock, Texas, but got to Austin as quickly as she could. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. and M.S. in Nursing, specializing in community health. She received a Cambridge Certification in ESL and began teaching in the Austin area in 2000. Julia has studied French, Spanish and Italian and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, along with walking, biking, quilting and traveling. She especially likes taking bicycling vacations and trips to Italy, where her sister has lived for 30 years.
