Why
Aston?

since 1992

Aston International Academy was established in 1992 to help students master the English language and succeed in the global village. Aston International Academy, also known as AIA, has an excellent track record of helping our students achieve their goals, whether it be getting into an American college or university, landing their dream job, or improving themselves personally. Over the last 25+ years, we have maintained a welcoming, personal environment that is ideal for learning and living. With no more than 14 students in a class, our classrooms encourage intimacy, progress and confidence.

Our
Mission

Aston International Academy is committed to providing intensive academic and non-academic English language education to speakers of other languages from professional experienced instructors. Serving both international students and Austin residents, we aim to foster a community of learners with a focus on fluency and confidence in a comfortable, inclusive, family-like atmosphere.

Teaching Method

The goal of our classes is to help students develop their ability to speak and listen to English in real-life situations. AIA bases its classes on communicative activities that focus on everyday and academic language and aim to develop the core skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. AIA's language courses provide an excellent springboard for developing vital language skills by using activities that directly mirror what people do in the real world.

Program Highlights

Small Groups

We pride ourselves on offering small class sizes, accommodating up to 14 students per classroom. This intentional approach fosters a supportive environment where students can cultivate the confidence necessary for both understanding and effectively speaking English.

Conversational Oriented Classes

Our classes are centered around conversation, prioritizing practical spoken English skills. While emphasizing verbal communication, our courses also incorporate essential grammar and vocabulary components to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

Dedicated Coordinator Program

Our curriculum develops the student’s primary language skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as grammar and vocabulary through communicative approaches. This means that the topics we teach are used in conversation from the very beginning.

Personalized Evaluation

We provide personalized evaluation and feedback, allowing students to track their progress and achievements.

Certified and Experienced Teachers

Our teachers are not only certified but also possess extensive experience in the field of English education. They are dedicated professionals who are committed to accompanying students throughout their learning journey and supporting them in making progress.

Placement Test by Pearson

11 weeks programs

Our programs run for 11 weeks, which is one quarter of the year. Our achievement scale shows you how long it takes to reach your desired level.

Different Programs for Different Needs

We offer a variety of programs to meet different needs: morning, evening, and weekend classes, as well as intensive and light options. We also provide specialized courses for business and academic English.

Modern Equipment

We provide modern equipment and interactive smartboards, enhancing our English learning experience through hands-on practice and engagement.

Extracurricular Activities

We provide a pronunciation lab, conversation hours, and organized excursions as part of our comprehensive learning experience.

Updated Materials & Books

We use the most up-to-date coursebooks that focus on relatable content and that take an integrated approach to learning, which helps students build the confidence they need in both understanding and speaking English.

We offer placement tests administered by Pearson, providing a convenient method to assess proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
